The release is a collection of fixes and enhancements suggested by our users.

The V2.12 survey apps now have the following features:

When the Location/GPS feature is ON, and you are Adding Trees/Items, touching the red cross will automatically plot the tree/item at the current GPS position.

The species list now has a Search filter to quickly find a species. Simply type in a few letters or part of the name, and the list will reduce to show any relevant entries.

This is cool! When overlaying your site map over a Google/OpenStreetMap base layer, you can use a slider to make your site map partially transparent so that you can see both the base map and your site map. This makes it easier to plot items accurately by viewing two maps at once.

For very large sites, when using the new Download Offline Maps feature, the lowest zoom level(s) of the map may not be needed or may not be clear enough. In this case, you can reduce the “Max zoom level” (e.g. from 22 to 20 or 21) to remove these lowest levels. This allows for faster downloads of the same area, or being able to download larger areas – i.e. without the lowest zoom levels.

The OpenStreetMap can now be zoomed further in to allow for better plotting of trees and items that are close together.

The resolution of the Google Aerial images is not the same in all parts of the country or the world. We now dynamically adjust the number of zoom levels to make sure you have the best Google resolution available at your survey site.

And on the Website

The spreadsheet pages can now be easily searched or filtered by reference. Just type in all or part of the Reference, and as you type each letter, the grid shows only those items whose reference contain the filter pattern.

The Maps page can now be searched by reference. Type in the complete reference and press Search button. The map will zoom to the specified item.
