When you register with OTISS you must select which type of account suits your needs.

Arboricultural Consultants and Surveyors

  • Register as an Arboricultural Consultant if you manage tree stock and/or carry out BS5837 or tree safety surveys for multiple clients.
  • For each client that you register, an ‘estate’ is created within the OTISS database. You can then create the sites, surveys and trees required to manage the tree stock on this estate.
  • If required. you can also create a login account for your client. They can then login to OTISS to view the trees, maps and data that you have collected on their behalf. An extra annual subscription is required for each client access.
  • If you work with other consultants, then each one should register with OTISS as a ‘Consultant’ account. On the Clients->Access web page, you can grant them access to your client-estates by typing in their login/email address and selecting which level of access they require; e.g. as a ‘manager’ or just doing specific surveys.
  • Depending on what features you need, we can tailor the account later – but always start off with the Arb Consultant free trial.

Arboricultural Student

  • Register as an Arboricultural Student if you are currently doing an arboricultural course and would like to use OTISS for your projects and assignments.

  • Your course supervisor can be givwn access to your surveys so that they can help and view your work..

  • If you have staff that also need to use OTISS, then you can register a ‘User‘ account for each one and assign them a role in managing the estate (e.g. Viewer, Surveyor, Manager, Administrator, etc.). An extra annual subscription is required for each additional user.
  • If you work with arboricultural consultants, then they should register for a separate ‘Consultant’ account. You can grant them access to help you manage the estate.
